During your first year, you will take a Foundation Year course to gain a solid understanding of business and management before pursuing your degree. Year one of your Bachelor’s studies will cover a variety of topics, including the business environment, people management, marketing and communications in a digital world, global business aspects, business finance, and economics.

Year 2 will expand on the previous year’s lessons, with a more rigorous curriculum and a greater emphasis on your ability to study and think critically. This course covers effective research methods, business decision-making, organizational behavior, business planning and analysis, project management, and international business law.

The final year curriculum focuses on examining advanced aspects of business management and preparing for the course’s final major project. Your final year will cover topics such as Global Leadership and Organizational Behavior, Building a Sustainable Business, Innovation Management, and Global Management. After you’ve covered these four areas, you’ll be able to pick between a dissertation, a consulting assignment, and an internship for your final major project.

The Global Business (Business Management) with Foundation Year course offers informal ‘formative’ examinations to measure your knowledge and understanding. Formative assessments will be conducted prior to the formal’summative’ assessment, which will decide your final grades.

Each module typically includes at least one item of formative evaluation on which you will receive feedback from your course staff. Formative assessments are solely for developmental purposes and do not contribute toward your final module mark. They are intended to help you gain more knowledge and confidence in the module topic and formal evaluation methods. Students who do not participate in informal assessments frequently struggle with Foundation Year progression and subsequent academic levels.

The official summative assessment is normally administered near the end of each module. Written exams and various types of coursework, including as reports, portfolios, essays, and presentations, may be used to assess students. Summative assessment grades contribute to your overall module grade. Assessment Methods Unique Mark Limited is reviewed on an annual basis and may be amended in cooperation with students, such as in response to student or External Examiner comments.
